Plexus
This project experiments towards the application of natural fibres within architectural scale elements: the processing of natural fibre using robotic filament winding, and the colour treatment of a selection of natural fibres. The investigation aims to create a material efficient, light weight and aesthetically intricate architecture, tested through the proposition of a spiritual space. ‘Plexus’ challenges the tradition of permanent sacred spaces, and instead proposes a transient, interchangeable bespoke architecture that is deployable within the city.
